Sales Forecasting Tools - the Competition

After researching a ton of sales forecasting tools, one thing is immediately clear - not many products have forecasting as their central focus. Many are focused on content management - CRMs like Salesforce, Zendesk, Anaplan. While valuable to include forecasting in your list of features as a CRM, it's not exactly focused on forecasting - the one thing you came here to do.

The other tools that have some established presence in forecasting alone, looks like they were developed in the 80s and I don't know about you, but I don't need another clunky forecast planning tool. Developing accurate sales forecasts requires every modern tool you have in the box. I won't rely on a technology that was built 10 years ago - too much in AI and machine learning has happened since then.


Frankly, I'm amazed to see this level of detail in an interface - can this really be effective for teams? Shouldn't the process of forecasting be simple, given advances in our tech? Other solutions seem to be excel plugins. I do like the idea of that, but again, you're now beholden to the limitations of excel and vba. If you want to track data over time and collaborate with your team on an analysis, is that really possible or the best environment?
